I've been in a cycle of cynicism lately, I wish I believed I could do anything! I think where I falter is with confidence and willingness to put myself "out there", avoiding the whole " fear of being perceived" thing. I wonder if it is tied to childhood?

I’d be surprised if it weren’t. Even though it might sound cliché—which it is—it’s best to rise against our fears, however uncomfortable, sometimes utterly helpless, they make us feel. There’s no way around it.

More than needing to believe I could do anything, for me the belief that matters is the belief that what I do matters, and in that regard I’m still growing.

I also was caught off guard! Sometimes I start a piece and I dont know which way it's going until I get there. Writing can be wild. 😊
